Hi rear-end declutterers – and everyone who wants to become one.
Our inserts made in Leipzig are great – the website, not so much. Unfortunately, the switch to multilingual content caused major problems, and last weekend there were periods when few or no products could be found. We spent the past week cleaning that up and are now enabling the other languages one by one. German, English and French should now work without errors. If you still “find” anything, please email support@gecleant.de. Another important point: the unexpected errors left us with a backlog of emails, which we’re answering one by one. It’ll simply take a little while to catch up. If you’ve already been waiting for a reply, please bear with us a bit longer. Sorry in advance.
And while we’re on the less cheerful news: the glass industry, like the timber industry, is currently under serious pressure. That means we can’t get our standard raw material (float glass) in our usual colours right now. We still have some raw material in stock, but the next batch of inserts will already be made exclusively from the darker premium material that previously cost extra on products where a material choice was available. So you may already have received an insert in the more expensive, better material without even noticing. If the situation doesn’t improve, we’ll make all inserts entirely from the premium material. That reduces complexity but will affect the price. I’m currently aiming for a set price of €35 including shipping and packaging. At the same time, I’m considering sending everything by registered/tracked mail because items are getting lost more often. More on that later …
Another new improvement is the more thoroughly polished edge of the insert. We’ve optimised the production process so we can polish the inserts more finely, giving them an even cleaner edge and noticeably better appearance. The quality of our glass rear-wiper-hole inserts has always been first class 😉 but this small update makes them that little bit nicer again.
