We machine this rear-window insert from glass on a computer-controlled CNC mill. Because it is made from the same type of material and coated black on the rear, it has surface characteristics similar to the rear window itself. Its reflections and shading are therefore very close to the surrounding glass. For removing the rear wiper, there is hardly a cleaner solution: the result is a tidy, smooth and visually calm overall rear view. Quality Every rear-wiper-hole insert goes through a careful quality inspection; parts with coating defects or flaws around the chamfered edge are rejected. A transparent protective film is then applied to the visible side so the surface cannot be scratched or contaminated with adhesive during installation. The finished result neatly closes the hole left in the rear window after the wiper has been removed.
